For this edition of our Fortnight Singing Challenge, Christoph chose Afterglow by Ed Sheeran. I had actually never listened to music by Ed Sheeran before, so this song was completely new to me. That made the experience interesting, and I really enjoyed discovering and learning it. I decided to record it as a two-part vocal arrangement. Hans adapted the music in a way that allows my voice to come forward more naturally and also created the accompanying video.
Afterglow is a warm and emotional song about love, comfort, and finding light in someone else, and I hope our version captures a little of that atmosphere.

En réalité, je n’avais jamais écouté de musique d’Ed Sheeran auparavant, donc cette chanson était totalement nouvelle pour moi. Cela a rendu l’expérience intéressante, et j’ai vraiment pris plaisir à la découvrir et à l’apprendre. J’ai décidé de l’enregistrer en arrangement vocal à deux voix. Hans a adapté la musique de manière à mettre davantage ma voix en valeur et a également réalisé la vidéo qui l’accompagne.
Afterglow est une chanson chaleureuse et émouvante qui parle d’amour, de réconfort et de la lumière que l’on peut trouver chez quelqu’un d’autre, et j’espère que notre version retranscrit un peu de cette atmosphère.
