Saddest Thing I Know by Cherry Poppin’ Daddies. This was Joe’s choice for us this week in the Weekly Song Challenge on Singeo. A band unknown to me. So lots and lots of listening and trying to capture the feeling of the song. Difficult because with jazz you don’t have much to hold on to. There was also no sheet music. But it was a fantastic song to learn. Thanks to fellow student Joe who introduced me to the Cherry Poppin’ Daddies.

Alors, beaucoup, beaucoup d’écoute et d’essais pour capturer l’atmosphère de la chanson. Difficile parce qu’avec le jazz, on n’a pas grand-chose à quoi s’accrocher. Il n’y avait pas non plus de partition. Mais c’était une chanson fantastique à apprendre. Merci à Joe, un camarade étudiant, qui m’a fait découvrir les Cherry Poppin’ Daddies.
